Washing instructions

Maintaining the integrity and longevity of sustainable fashion garments requires adherence to specific washing instructions. Proper care not only preserves the aesthetic appeal of the clothing but also supports the principles of sustainability by extending the life cycle of the products.

For garments featuring Direct to Film (DTF) prints, it is essential to wash the items inside out. This practice minimizes direct contact between the print and the washing machine, thereby reducing the risk of damage. Additionally, it is advisable to wash these garments at a maximum temperature of 30 degrees Celsius. Washing at higher temperatures can lead to fading and deterioration of the print quality, ultimately compromising the garment's visual appeal.

When it comes to ironing, it is recommended to use a low-temperature setting. High heat can adversely affect the DTF print, causing it to warp or peel. To ensure the print remains intact, place a cloth over the print area while ironing. This additional layer acts as a protective barrier, safeguarding the design from direct heat exposure.

It is important to avoid tumble drying these garments. The high heat and agitation of a tumble dryer can lead to shrinkage and damage to the fabric and prints. Instead, air drying is the preferred method, as it is gentler on the material and helps maintain the garment's shape and quality.

Bleaching agents should also be avoided, as they can compromise the fabric's integrity and alter the colors of the garment. For those seeking to remove wrinkles, steaming is a viable option. Utilizing perchloroethylene for steaming can effectively refresh the garment without the risks associated with traditional ironing methods.

By following these care instructions, consumers can ensure that their sustainable fashion pieces remain vibrant and functional for an extended period. This not only enhances the wearer's experience but also aligns with the overarching goal of sustainability in the fashion industry.
